Biopsies of Loss
Each set in this series is based on the stories of women who experienced "motherlessness" in differing ways-- neglect, abandonment, unexpected death. Three women shared their stories (two are pictured above), and the interview process was a metaphorical excavation--digging up and examining the past in an attempt to understand its impact.
